First Day of November

Well the last two weeks have been eventful. First my beloved Sugar Baby, the dog who is "a people" as David says had to have emergency surgery . This was all at the same time that my new school had to shut down all the computers because of a computer virus. They all had to be reimaged, we are still not finished getting everything back up and running.
David will be going deer hunting this week since it is opening week of deer season. I will be glad because he becomes quite obsessed this time of year. I will go hunting with him the week of Thanksgiving. We are going to visit Fredricksburg that week as well. It was his idea not mine.
Well things have calmed down finally and things are going OK at work-that is a whole other story but things are beginning to smoothe over.
The year goes by so much faster when I am not in the classroom, I really was burning out in the classroom. I love the new job but I hope that a few of the kinks will be worked out next year.

Things that are different now that I am married...

I have to wash 3 times as many clothes even though there is just one more person there.
I don't get as much sleep as used to.
I wash more spoons than I ever knew I had. I have yet to figure out why my husband uses so many spoons.
I have a bird.
Jeep rides at midnight are a regular occurence.
My mother calls to talk to someone else.
My dad gets jealous if he doesn't get to mow the yard.
The cell phone has taken on more importance.
I take out the trash 3 times a week. I used to make it the whole week without a trip to the dumpster.
I have someone who seranades me in the mornings when he is home.
My bathroom is never clean.
Someone fixes my lunch on Mondays.
I have to fight over the remote.
I watch the Outdoor channel and movies more often.
I have cooked more meals in 6 months than I probably have in the last 5 years.
I've learned to bend.
I have someone who loves me with all his heart and he does too!

This is a time for 6's

I've now survived six months of being married, which some have said is the hardest time to adjust especially after being single for 44 years! I've survived six weeks of my new job, which when you work in education that is 1/6th of your year because everything is on a schedule like that.

It has been difficult adjusting to some new people, and personalities on both fronts, easier in the marriage because I love the person I married. LOL. Anyway it is Friday and the work day is now over and I am ready for the weekend. I'm not going to hang around here and write anymore that is for sure...

You know I never thought I would love this...

Blogging has become a new pastime of mine. I never thought I would enjoy writing this much. I have always been a prolific reader but never wanted to write, maybe now it is just my age. I have finally lived long enough that I feel like I have something to say.
Maybe it is just that technology has made it easier to me. I can sit at a computer for hours and not ever get tired of it. It is like an addiction. I've got a Flickr account, MySpace page, I am on Facebook, and have all the Google addons downloaded.
I finally have my dream job as a Technology Coach at a school district where I am well respected for my technology saavy. Life has changed in the last year, that is for sure, new marriage, new job, hopefully soon a new house, I have been blessed. I've even made a few new friends along the way. Cool
